Dr. Tamberly McCoy is from Eddyville, Ky., and moved to Owensboro for more opportunities to help others. Tamberly has been a resident of Owensboro since 2001. What she enjoys most is taking care of people during all ages in life.
Tamberly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition in 1985 and then continued her educaiton, earning her Masters Degree in 1988. Tamberly then took a leap of faith and decided she wanted to do more than just human nutrition. She attended the University of Louisville in 1998 and interned at the Regional Medical Center from 1998-1999. She then resided in Madisonville, KY, where she had specific training in medical education at the Trover Clinic from 1999-2001.
Tamberly joined the American Board of Family Medicine in 2007. She was honored by the Kentucky Home Care Association with the Award of Excellence in 2018 for her compassion and dedication to home care, recognized for Palliative Care, follow up visits with her patients that are admitted in the hospital and following up with her patients in office.
